The Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and Social Services and M.N.A. for Laurier-Dorion, Mr. Gerry Sklavounos, is pleased to announce, on behalf of the Minister of Government Services, over 450 000$ in financial assistance for information technology projects in Laurier-Dorion.
This amount is granted under the 2009-2010 edition of Appui au passage à la société de l’information, a program established to help citizens of Québec gain access to new information and communication technologies.
The organizations that will benefit from this assistance are: l’Association du syndrome de Usher du Québec, le Centre accès communautaire sourd, the Park-Extension Youth Organization (P.E.Y.O.), le Réseau Koumbit and Communautique.
“The transition toward an information society is a priority for our Government and these funds will help these local organizations provide enhanced services to the citizens of my riding”, declared Mr. Sklavounos.
