The Provigo by Parc metro closed for deep-cleaning after one staff member tested positive on a presumptive test for coronavirus (COVID-19).

On March 30, the Provigo le Marché Jean-Talon closed temporarily. Late evening, Loblaws Inc., owner of Provigo, updated customers subscribed to the store mailing list that an employee had tested positive. The staff member last worked in the store on March 26. The store will re-open services after cleaning.

“We are reaching out to the local public health authority to investigate the team member’s recent shifts and direct contacts,” the newsletter read. “We are instructing any potentially exposed team members to stay home and self-isolate.”

Later a public post was made on the Facebook store page.

“We remind you that in addition to the daily hygiene protocols and social distancing practices, we have used a specialized firm to complete disinfection.”
