COVID-19 Pandemic update for October 16th 2020 – The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, Oct. 16, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ – The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19 in Québec show 1,055 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 91,018. Also, 1 new death has occurred in the last 24 hours, to which are added 11 deaths which have occurred between October 9 and October 14 and 2 deaths which have occurred before October 9. However, the total is at 6,018 due to the withdrawal of 1 death that the investigation has shown not to be attributable to COVID-19. The number of hospitalizations increased by 14 compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 507. Among these, the number of people in intensive care increased by 4, for a total of 87. The samples conducted on October 14 amount to 29,028 for a total of 2,752,073.
