Covid-19 Update … numbers skyrocket in Quebec

Numbers in Quebec reached an all-time high, breaking all records for the region on December 5th. Examples here:

QUÉBEC CITY, Dec. 5, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ – The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19 in Québec show 2,031 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 149,908. The data also report 48 new deaths, for a total of 7,231. Among these 48 deaths, 11 have occurred in the last 24 hours, 27 have occurred between November 28 and December 3, 8 have occurred before November 28 et 2 have occurred at an unknown date. The number of hospitalizations decreased by 7 compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 754. Among these, the number of people in intensive care decreased by 1, for a total of 96. The samples conducted on December 3 amount to 35,391 for a total of 4,049,710.

Among these 36 deaths, 12 have occurred in the last 24 hours, 22 have occurred between December 1 and December 6 and 2 have occurred before December 1. The number of hospitalizations increased by 17 compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 835. Among these, the number of people in intensive care increased by 9, for a total of 114. The samples conducted on December 6 amount to 25,008 for a total of 4,133,635.
