The Villeray—Saint−Michel—Parc−Extension (VSP) borough is lifting restrictions put in place during the COVID-19 emergency. Playgrounds, tennis courts, and community gardens have opened. Swimming pools will reopen on June 20.
Here is what to expect as the borough resumes some of its services.
Swimming pools
The swimming pools will reopen on June 20. Health protocols like keeping a 2 meter distance are still mandatory.
Playgrounds
Playgrounds in the borough are now open. The borough says it has installed panels in multiple languages to remind them of distancing guidelines.
Tennis courts
The tennis courts of François-Perrault and George-Vernot parks opened on Saturday, May 23.
Water parks
Water game parks reopened May 26. The following water game parks are now open: De Lestre, Champdoré, Ovila-Légaré, Saint-Vincent-Ferrier, René-Goupil, Bélair, De Normanville, Howard and Saint-Damase.
The water games in Jean-Marie-Lamonde park are not open at the moment.
Dog parks
The Villeray and Jarry dog parks opened on Saturday, May 23.
Community gardens
Community gardens opened Tuesday, May 19.
Access to the gardens will be restricted. Only a limited number of people will be able to use the garden at once.
Public health officials recommend that seniors and people with health problems avoid coming to the gardens.
