Yesterday, Quebec Premier Francois Legault announced that day camps will reopen June 22, across the province.

Parents should know that children will have to follow public health guidelines, like keeping a distance of 2 meters. Day camps might also accept fewer children this year, depending on the space available for group activities.

Day camps will need more counsellors to monitor children this summer.

For example, Park Extension Youth Organization (PEYO) holds a big day camp every year. PEYO will update residents shortly.

Legault encouraged teenagers and young adults to apply to their local day camps.
